Creating Albums and Posting Pictures

I created two albums (4th of July and Memorial Day) and posted pictures to both albums.  When the upload process was complete, the pictures displayed properly in both albums.  When I went back to see how the albums were displayed (i.e. if the album titles were displayed separate and sequentially, etc.), there was no indication that the albums were still available for viewing.  I could not locate them or any pictures whatsoever.

1) I don't know how to locate the albums.  Therefore, there needs to be a way to locate albums in a logical way, by year and event.  Search capabilities should be made available to accommodate a person trying to locate albums., particularly when pictures are just posted in notes and not in albums.

2) People should have the option to view one picture at a time or a screen with multiple pictures (12 or 16 pictures, or some other number).
